STEP 1: Custom Design Drawings
It all begins with an idea. If you’re open to new ideas, let one of our in house jewelry designers imagine a beautiful custom piece of jewelry just for you. If you already have a design in mind, simply share the details with us and one of our artists will create a 1:1 scale drawing of your design to show how your finished piece will look.
Welcome to Houston Lane, where we design and create personalized jewelry for exclusive wholesale clients.
Thank you for visiting our online studio. The password you entered ensures that we only work with our select wholesale clients and not with the general public. By choosing to work with a limited number of clients we are better suited to meet strict deadlines, while still providing the extra attention to detail that we give to every piece of personalized jewelry we create.
STEP 2: CAD Model upon approval of drawing
Next, our CAD artists will build your model to the exact details as the design drawing and will text you the final images. This photorealistic image was rendering with our 20 GB graphics card. We’ll send you five high quality images of different angles, at no additional cost. Once approved we can email the model to your own printer or we can print it ourselves in castable wax resin on our Figure 4 Jewelry 3D printer.
STEP 3: Casting, Polishing and Setting
If you choose to have us do your 3D printing and casting, we can send you a magnetically tumbled rough casting that is ready for your jeweler to polish and set. Or, if you prefer to receive a finished piece of jewelry ready to give your customer, we can work with your materials or we can provide the material’s with an estimate. In this modular art deco piece we set a green tourmaline in 14K white gold and diamonds with a 14K green gold geometric pattern curving around the back of the piece that reflects its patterns within the gemstone. I called this piece, “The Matrix” : )
